This might sound contradictory at first—but it’s one of the most empowering truths about personal color analysis.
Yes, with time, your hair may turn silver, your skin may change slightly in texture or tone, and your personal style may evolve. You might feel drawn to different colors than you did ten years ago.
But here’s the truth most people don’t know:
Your color palette is determined by your undertone—and that doesn’t change.
Color analysis is not a surface-level beauty trend—it’s a system rooted in how light reflects off your skin undertone, interacts with your eye clarity, and harmonizes with your natural pigmentation.
And your undertone is stable. Lifelong. Non-negotiable.
It lives underneath your skin and doesn’t shift with age, sun exposure, or even going grey.
So, if you were once a True Winter, you will always be a True Winter—whether you’re 17 or 70, whether your hair is jet black or silver.
This is why I’ve analyzed clients in their 60s, 70s, and beyond who still show up as Springs, Winters, and other bright or deep seasons—just as they would have decades earlier.
Here’s where it gets personal—and beautiful.
As you move through different life chapters, you might find yourself drawn to different colors within your season. This doesn’t mean your palette is changing. It means you’re exploring it more deeply.
Think of your palette not as a fixed chart—but as a spectrum.
Let’s take True Summer, for example. This palette includes cool, soft, low-intensity colors from light to mid-dark. Within that range, imagine how many variations of blues, purples, and rose tones exist. There are thousands of shades to play with.
That’s not your palette changing—it’s you mastering it.
Nope.
Going grey does not mean you magically shift into a softer or lighter season. If you were a Winter before, you’re still a Winter.
Grey or silver hair still offers strong contrast—especially when paired with bright eyes and reflective skin. In fact, those Winter shades (like icy blues, cool greys, and bold reds) can look even more striking and elegant against grey hair.
On the other hand, if you suddenly start wearing the wrong palette—like soft Summer tones as a Winter—you’ll notice:
And no, we don’t want that.
Aging doesn’t take away your colors. It gives you the opportunity to wear them more intentionally.
Your palette won’t change, because your essence doesn’t change. But your preferences might—and that’s part of the beauty of personal style. You get to evolve. You get to refine. And you get to feel even more like yourself with every passing year.
If you’re unsure about how to wear your palette now, I can help.
I’ll show you how to work with your current lifestyle, energy, and goals—while still honoring your natural beauty.
Because when your colors are right, everything else just clicks.
